Brian Hellums is the President and Owner of DH Restoration, Inc. After obtaining his bachelor’s degree in Construction Management from the University of Central Missouri, he started his career with DHR as an Estimator in May 2002. Brian’s education in construction began in his youth, where he worked alongside his father building custom homes in addition to working for General Contractors during his college years. The position with DHR offered Brian the ability to work for a specialty contractor which was as a change of pace from General Contracting.

During his two plus decade career he has helped build DHR in the positions of Estimator, Vice President, and then in 2022 becoming majority owner of the company. He enjoys the opportunity to work on some of the largest and most exciting new construction projects in Kansas City as well as throughout the Midwest region. His expertise lies in collaborating with stakeholders in diagnosing issues of structural infiltration from moisture and air and make the necessary repairs within the parameters of budget and time constraint.

Brian’s entry into the industry coincided with the emerging changes in the building code requirements regarding air barriers on commercial buildings. He enjoys drawing upon his knowledge in working with architects, consultants, and general contractors in the construction process; ensuring the air barrier is continuous and the building is free from moisture and air intrusion upon completion.

Brian and his wife Amy reside in Raymore, Missouri with their four children. In his free time, he enjoys working around the house and in the summer, months relaxing with his family by the pool and grilling.
